Department was established in 2007.Total number of faculty was 01 in 2007 and now department have 2full time teachers. Department have more than 40 plant specimens and 20 instruments. 8 papers taught by our department as per curriculum of Shivaji University. Department is with well equipped laboratory. Various activities like ecological survey, seed bank, debate competition and Career guidance have been carried out by the guest lectures and institutional visits.

Promote the self employment of the students through various areas of plants sciences. Develop the abilities to the educationally backward & rural youth to make them self reliant for fulfilment of changing needs of society.

The mission of department of Botany is to provide scientific knowledge about the plants and to promote awareness of the diverse fields of Botany.
